SHiFT Design Camp

is a week long workshop based in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. This week is dedicated to building, creating, and merging new ideas in a technology-free setting away from the distractions of the 21st century.

As a camper, attending these workshops and participating in challenges is comprised of design education and speculative thinking, while creating a conversation about sustainability.

As a Yeoman, facilitating workshops through questions keeps campers engaged in critical thinking. Working alongside recognized professionals in the design industry is an inspiring opportunity to learn from and grow.

I have had the opportunity to attend, facilitate, and speak at these camps since 2014. This camp truly encapsulates the design thinking process, empathy, and reinforces mental mind mapping–tools applied in a variety of disciplines outside of nature.

Being featured in many testimonial videos provided me with the ability to converse in larger settings, in hopes of inviting others to come outside of their element by trying the outdoors with peers.
